Certified legal translations by sworn translators (court interpreters) are translations of documents that retain legal validity in their translated form.
Certified legal translations include contracts, official documents such as birth certificates or marriage certificates, university degrees, certificates, extracts from the companies register, etc.
A certified legal translation is a physical document consisting of an original and a translation which are stamped and bound together by a special cord and accompanied by a sworn translator’s declaration that the translation corresponds to the original.
The institution that requests the certified legal translation from you specifies whether the certified legal translation has to be bound to the original document, a certified copy or an ordinary copy. If the translation needs to be bound to the original or a certified copy, you can deliver the documents to us in person or post them to us. In the case of an ordinary copy, an electronic version (a scan) is sufficient. You can pick up the translation in person or we can send it to you by post or via a courier.
